Refund Policy

1. Nature of payments
Payments made through Spill / AskSpill for donations, tips, or boosts tied to messages are voluntary. They are not traditional purchases of goods from Spill or guaranteed message delivery, read receipts, or replies from any creator.
2. General rule: final and non-refundable
Except as stated below, all such payments are final and non-refundable. Once processed, funds may be allocated per our platform terms and Stripe Connect rules, including immediate or near-immediate transfer to creators. That structure means reversals are often not operationally possible.
3. When we may refund or correct (sole discretion)
We may, in our sole discretion, issue a refund or credit where we determine there was a clear technical or billing error attributable to the Service (for example, duplicate charge for the same transaction), or where we are required to by applicable law or payment network rules. Contact support@askspill.com with your transaction details and the email used for the purchase.
We do not guarantee refunds for dissatisfaction with a creator's response, change of mind, or disputes between fans and creators.
4. Chargebacks and disputes
If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer (chargeback), Stripe and your financial institution will process that dispute under their rules. Contacting support does not pause chargeback timelines. Fraudulent chargebacks may lead to account closure and cooperation with payment partners.
5. Creators and taxes
Creators receiving payouts are responsible for their own taxes and compliance. This policy does not create a refund obligation on creators; platform-side remedies are limited to what we choose to offer under Section 3 above.
